24 Hours at Giri Residence

You didn't need an alarm. The light does that here.

Ibiza's northern light enters differently: filtered through wooden shutters, gold lines falling across hydraulic tiles.

8:30 AM — The Breakfast That Lasts

A long table of reclaimed wood in the shared living room, with its fireplace and objects from Bali, Morocco and India. Breakfast is included: local fruit, bread baked on site, almond jam. Only five suites, ten guests at most, ten staff.

10:30 AM — The Sunday Hippie Market

The Sant Joan market is thirty seconds on foot. Craftspeople, small producers, a musician playing somewhere among the stalls.

12:30 PM — The Pool, at Last

The outdoor pool is turquoise, framed by almond and olive trees and a pergola. No music, no waiters circling. Just water.

2:30 PM — The Slow Lunch

At The Giri Café, a three-hundred-year-old house with a garden terrace, the kitchen serves Mediterranean cooking built on produce from the north of the island.

4:30 PM — The Spa

The indoor pool is tiled by hand, tile by tile. Treatments are inspired by plants native to Ibiza. A jacuzzi closes the visit.

6:30 PM — Cala Benirràs

Twenty minutes through the hills of Es Amunts. On Sundays, drummers gather at sunset, a tradition that has run since the 1960s.

9:00 PM — Dinner

Back at The Giri Residence for dinner. Sant Joan turns properly dark at night, and the stars show up in full.

11:00 PM — The Suite, the Sheets

Natural stone floors underfoot, good sheets on the bed. That's The Giri Residence.
